Catalysing European Local Climate Action

On 21 May 2019, more than 90 experts and local government representatives from across Europe joined the first BEACON conference to discuss how to successfully catalyse local climate actions.

The aim of the conference was to provide a space for local actors to network with colleagues and exchange practical solutions for climate change mitigation. Thematic discussions ranged from fighting energy poverty, municipal climate finance, open environmental data management and sustainable mobility – showcasing the breadth and depth of local climate action.
